Every great cookout starts the same way. Somebody fires up the grill, cracks open a cold one, and says the five magic words: “I think I got this.”
That somebody is Q.
Q is the guy who shows up early, seasons the meat twice, and swears this batch of ribs is going to be the best one yet. He is the front man. The one flipping racks with one hand and cracking dad jokes with the other. The one who plates the food, watches your face as you take the first bite, and already knows what you are going to say before you say it.
Behind every great pitmaster, though, there is someone doing the real work. Q’s brother is the one you will find standing on the other side of the smoker, barely visible through the smoke, quietly checking temps and adjusting vents while Q is out front taking all the credit. He prefers it that way. No spotlight, no photos, just results.
